Where do you draw the line?
Do we even realize what they are taking from us? We claim that we have nothing to hide, leaving our front doors and bedroom curtains wide open for the world to see. We actually PAY for the privilege! While corporations gain copies of our souls, what do we get in return? An invoice. A request for review (more data!) They know where we live, our medical status and history, our shopping habits, who you vote for, how much money you have, your face, your thumb prints, your exact location at all times, your current heart rate, live audio feed, live video feed, copies of your texts and emails, how many eggs you have left in the fridge, your dogs maiden name! Where do we draw the line? If you adjust your security settings to supposedly block these things you will suddenly have an update which will revert all of the settings. How convenient! Every app that came on your phone is suspect. Devices are scanning our world. Do you think they are just letting that data go to waste? Why else would there be so much background data transfer happening at all times? “Send us diagnostics to help improve our products” What the hell does that even mean? If it breaks we will let you will know! Patch notes that obscurely proclaim: bug fixes and optimizations.” Optimized for who? They used to tell you about the bug they fixed. I cant tell what changed besides all of my security settings again!
